Spotify启动开源基金项目 – 开源派
Spotify近期在官网宣布成立Spotify 开源基金FOSS Fund (Free and Open Source Software Fund)，用来资助独立的开源项目。初始基金池设立10万欧元，由Spotify的工程师提名，Spotify 开源基金委员会评审并最终做决定。
Spotify在官网博客上表示，早期Spotify就开始使用开源技术。目前越来越多的公司都在依赖某种开源软件来开展业务，但是，尽管开源软件的流行和重要性在不断增长，维护者们的工作压力变得越来越大。Spotify认为自己有义务回馈开源生态系统，并做出更多贡献。
Spotify 在过去时间有一个相当于开源办公室（Open Source Program Office，OSPO）的组织；但其更多地还是像一个由在公司担任其他全职职务的员工组成的非正式小组。目前，Spotify 开源办公室团队正式列入平台战略团队，未来处理开源事务，比如回馈开源生态环境，加入CNCF以及Linux基金会旗下的OpenSSF基金会等。
