Did you confirm that your device is IN2019 and not IN2020?

Verify the drivers are good to go (it shows up as the right device in device manager) aside from that, try to boot into recovery or something to shut the phone down.

Now hold down both volume buttons at the same time - followed by the power button. Immediately plug the phone in. Took me a couple tries but eventually you should hit pay dirt.

N.B.: When you put it in EDL mode - quickly open MSM as Administrator and uncheck Sha256 and press start and remember to reboot between uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.

My device is VZW IN2019. I unlocked bootloader and ended up on IN2020, then flashed to 10 like you said then updated via ota to latest 11.8, then followed the guide, but now I’m getting the peram. The phone is detected in EDL as Qualcomm and I tried using the Qualcomm driver you posted but I get they are up to date. I found a video method on xda got bootloader unlocked again, but on IN2020 again, is IN2020 normal for this unlock method? This time I have 2022 security patches, I updated before but I think an update didn’t get to me until today. Can we still do ota updates and stay unlocked? Or do you know if LineageOS works with this device?

Once your bootloader is unlocked - say goodbye to any further OTA updates.

You can still unlock even though the device reads as IN2020 [IN2020 | OP8 Pro - China] - I have not chased that rabbit as why our devices are reading a different model number than originated.

LOS should work on the device as well as any other compatible Custom ROM.

Your to awesome, thank you for the info. I was looking to flash los but wow, I don’t remember it being so difficult. You used to be able to install twrp and flash roms on the go and now the need of adb and slots, I need to do some homework lol. I rooted with twrp but can’t flash los in it.

I got los working, was easier than I thought lol. Only problem is no 5G. Can I get the modem firmware for vzw firmware and flash it on los?

You will 'truly' brick your device if you attempt to flash a firmware that might not be compatible with another.

In the event that you have the nerve and patience - be prepared to MSM back again.

Not all Custom ROMs are created equal when it comes to accessing 5G - the wait and see game begins in terms of future updates from the LOS team.

Figured that much, thanks for verifying. Would you happen to know about freeing up storage on these phones? Android 11 is using 22gb of system. I read android 11 is supposed to use more because of the 2 slots. Would I beable to format slot A and extend it to slot B and gain more storage or does android 11 need the second slot? Figure these are computers, so like in Ubuntu you can created multiple partition or one partition. Sorry for all the questions just switched from iPhone so trying to make sense of the new android lol. Had a Sam s8+ and note back in the day but it seems a lot has changed since android 9.

Seems like a lot more work than it's worth to repartition.

You are free to enter this rabbit hole and cross your fingers and your toes.

N.B.: There is a method to resize partitions via TWRP. Feel free to utilize Google Search to further info.

No, you won't be getting any cellular data because the modem doesn't work properly.

I think I just bricked my phone using this guide. (My fault) I tried to rerun MSM (to factory reset) forgetting that I had the unlock.ops still in MSM and now I cant get into the bootloader or ELD mode.

Reboot to fastboot= QC Crashdump
Power off and enter EDL = Crashdump

Any Ideas? if not may want to warn people of that specific issue.

Fixed- Though may want to add it to the notes and additions section.

If you flash the unlock ops incorrectly it will break the bootloader.

I was able to do this whole process successfully on windows 11 with USB 3.0 using the ADB EDL command
Though after bricking the device I could not get into edl mode (assuming USB 3.0 takes to long to register the device not triggering edl mode with using the vol= & vol- keys).

So if you brick the boot loader please make sure you use USB 2 and the key combo to get into edl then you can flash the stock.ops.

After flashing the stock ops I had to go back to USB 3.0 as I was getting a communication issue to install "instantnoodlev_15_O.01_210110.ops"

Hope this helps if someone has the same issue as I.
