Since the problem is still present for some people, maybe would be relevant to share more details, such as,
  1. Model number of your device,
  2. Which country you're currently in,
  3. Carrier,
  4. Network (3g, 4g)
  5. What type of communication was used (normal call, call using an app eg: whatsapp, signal, video calls).
If there is any assumption that different hardwares could be inducing it, at leats this would be useful data.
For people that had their problem solved with this update, sharing the data would be useful to others trying to discern successful cases.

Hi,

I have 2 Galaxy S7 and both of them have the echo problem.

S7 1 : SM-G930F, Canada, Telus, 4G, Normal call

S7 2 : SM-G930W8, Canada, Telus, 4G, Normal Call

The Roms working for my 2 phones are Havoc OS 3.x and FloydQ6.0

I did not try with a bluetooth earpiece.

And here we go as prommised, new build with improved in call audio quality and June security update
- Merged June 2022. security update
- Merged June 2022. pixel feature drop (SQ3A.220605.009.A1)
- Improved in-call audio quality drastically
- Addressed few more selinux denials
- Improved general stability and performance
- Cleaned up source
- Synced with LineageOS source

Once again huge thanks to everyone who supported this project, helped cover the build server cost and got me a coffee, this project wouldnt be possible without support of the comunity and s7 wouldnt still be running latest OS with latest security updates over 6 years after launch

18.1 and 17.1 builds will be out over the coming days
Enjoy new build and stay safe

Thank you @Ivan_Meler , very nice improvement!

In-call audio is way better, although not fully OK, yet.

- On my device, I can hear callers well now. No echo when others speak!
- Using an external BT microphone, others can hear me well without echo/tinny/robo voice!
- However, using the built-in microphone, others still hear me badly. The sound has changed, though. Whereas there was this tinny echo before, now others hear me in a slurry fashion. People described it as "You sound as if you are drunk" or "Are you eating a hot potato?". After trying it out myself with another device I can confirm the sound is different than before.

That is, the remaining issue appears to be related only to the internal mic while the major problem that was related to all in-call audio seems to be solved.

If I had to guess, I'd say that playing around with the mic gain settings could be a good angle of approach. I won't have time to play around before next week, so if anyone finds the time, I would appreciate it.

Again, really nice job @Ivan_Meler !

Looks like a bootloop. I would try flashing the ROM again.
