The other day I was reading an article and for the life of me I can’t recall what it was on but it got me thinking of trying Fedora on my desktop once more. I think it was because I was working on better understanding how GitHub Actions worked and it has been a long time since I even touched a Linux distribution.

I’ve used Ubuntu before and liked it. I think the biggest reason I didn’t really have it as my daily driver was because when I like to play games on the computer I don’t want to be able to just play the game without having to do any extra work. I know in Linux it can be a little tricky but still works. You can still play games.

This morning I installed Fedora 36 on the secondary drive I had laying around and to be honest I may just try to use it as my daily driver from here on out. I kind of stopped playing games and want to be doing other things and really want to get more comfortable and familiar with Linux.

It really has been a long time since I’ve really done any Linux things too. I like working in the command line when I can and that’s one thing I really want to be doing more of to an extent. I think the biggest thing I really want to be doing more of is diving into code. In the last year I don’t think I’ve done much of that and it does make me a little sad and I think a lot of that being that I like to solve puzzles when I can. It’s been a really, really, really long time since I’ve really solved a puzzle.

The other thing that has been on my mind is that software engineering has sort of taking a back seat for me and I don’t really know how I feel about that yet. This was one thing I really wanted to pursue and still want to. I have yet to finish the courses I started over a year ago and that really did bum me out to type too. I have not been as motivated and I don’t know why.

It also sort of shows since I haven’t been posting here or the other blog as much. I need to figure out how to get back into the swing of things.
