Accessories "This fast wireless charger isn't compatible with your phone, so you're charging at standard speed."
that is a 9w, and will display fast charging on the s22u . it came free with my s22u
several of my old ufo samsung fast chargers display fast charging. they are like 9w or so.
my 3 non samsung branded wireless chargers do not display fast charging, and the speed is much slower. these display fast charging on older samsung phones.
the charge time eta is much much longer when fast charging is not displayed with the off branded chargers. so say 9w fast, vs a 9w charger not fast charging is most definitely not the same. it is what it is, I can only add an observation and a data point.

I guess, samsung is now recognizing original accesories.
I bought a Chinese 15W charger and turned it all on again. I have a screen saver running (display on) while charging with no problems.
I couldn't get the Battery Charger Monitor to chart thru a display off condition. It always restarted the chart when the screen came on. I'll check the history over time after charging a bit.

I'm not sure. But every 10W "Fast Charge" wireless charger I have will not show fast charging. And they are official Samsung.
But my 15W chargers, including both my generic Chinese wireless chargers in my car, all show Fast Wireless Charging.
Either way, it doesn't really matter. It's still 10W whether it says Fast or not.
I didn't say anything factually inaccurate, nor did I get upset. Things said in the imaginary world of the internet don't upset me. I had actually already forgot about it until you replied just now and I got a notification.
If you think what I said was being "upset," then you might be a little over sensitive. Sorry if it came across that way.
Again, it's your charger. Get a 15W wireless charger and it will fast charge. You don't have to believe me. But companies change specs on phones, yearly. Just because your precious phones fast charged wirelessly at 5 or 10W doesn't mean this one does.
His issue and my issue are exactly the same.
I've been using note 9 on OFFICIAL 10W samsung FAST wireless charger. On S22u, it's still saying" Fast Wireless Charging".
On my 3rd party device wireless charger 10W in my car, Note 9 DOES show 'fast wireless charging' but S22U says "It's not compatible with the device, it's slowing down the charging speed. -> wireless charging"
I also tested my gf's cell phone S20 or 21 on the 3rd party charger, it says like S22U.
It seems like Samsung did some **** update on those new devices.
Btw, it's proving that 10W is not a culprit here. it's something else

OK. My Chinese generic 15W chargers fast charge. My Samsung genuine 10W don't fast charge.
What we have is two sets of facts that are opposing, so really it's didn't prove anything. It did not prove that 10W is or isn't the culprit. Nor did it prove that Samsung did some sneaky update.
So welcome back to square after proving nothing.

You need at least a 25 watt brick to fast charge. His issue and my issue are exactly the same.

V×A=watts; 10 watts is less than half the power needed to fast charge. It's physically incapable of providing sufficient power to fast charge.
The charger also needs to electronically "hand shake" with the phone to enable fast charging. If the charger doesn't meet those protocols, the phone will not enable the fast charging option.

Officially, Fast wireless Charing starts from 10W according to Samsung.
and Fast CABLE Charing starts from 15W -> super fast = 25W -> super fast 2.0 = 45W.
maybe you are confused between wireless and cable charging?

Yeah I don't use wireless charging ever.
An easy way to compare actual charging rates is with the screen off while charging. Between 30-65%, time how long it takes to charge 1 or 2% in seconds. For the N10+ on wired fast charging it's about 30 seconds for 1%. Slow charging 60 seconds or longer per 1%.
At 72-80% fast charging automatically ramps down then ramps down again at about 90% to protect the battery.
Screen on automatically ramps it down to a very low level as does under or over battery temperatures.
At about 103F charging stops completely.
Below 50-60F fast charging will not engage to protect the battery.

9.14 volts/14.41 watts/1.61 amps. Max battery temp 30C (86F), ambient temp 21C (70F)
49% to 85% percent charge in 17 minutes.
I use a USB C magnetic connection in lieu of wireless charging.

It's a known "issue" that Samsung does not acknowledge, probably to rope you into buying official accessories. See this thread https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...-not-working-after-recent-update/td-p/1732927
