Sending data to different destination from same source SAP PCO

Hi All,

we are trying to send data(Coming from same Source system) to different MII destination systems with two different Agent running at SAP PCO Side. But while running both agent at the same time one of agent is not sending data to the destination ( agent which start early only send data to destination).

Our requirement is that both agent should run simultaneously and should send data to respective destination.

One workaround of this issue is we can think of is that we can configure the destination is only in one agent but requirement is to keep separate agent for separate destination environment.

Please let us know if this is achievable or not.

we are using PCO server 15.5.1.5.we are using PCO server 15.5.1.5.

Ankit

Hi Ankit,

Using PCo 15.5.1.6, I set up two agent instances from the same OPC UA Source agent, configured identical notifications for each agent instance, and pointed each to a different MII Destination System. After starting both agent instances, each notification delivered the same notification XML to the destination MII transaction. I also tested this using two notifications from a single instance, each notification connected to a separate MII Destination, and got similar results.

In the test cases above, the MII Destinations are separate MII deployments on separate servers.

recommend that you run both agent Instances with Verbose Logging selected to determine exactly what sequence of events occurs in each Agent Instance, and what is different between them.

Hi Steve,

sorry forgot to mention that source system is TCP socket from where PCO is receiving data.

Using PCo 15.5.1.6 I configured a Single Socket Source System with a Single Port named 'Data', and created two separate Agent Instances from this Socket Source System. Each Agent Instance was subscribed to the Data Tag. Each had a single notification of trigger type Always, that was assigned a separate MII Instance Destination. I configured Both Agent Instances to start using a Starting Group.

I Started the Agent Instances using a Starting Group and triggered the Socket Source Agent by sending a data packet to it. Reviewing the Agent Instances Verbose Logs, only ONE of the Agent Instances received a DataChanged Event from the Source Agent that was processed to a Destination. The other Agent Instance showed no DataChanged events being logged after startup.

I reconfigured one of the Agent Instances to set up two notifications, each connected to a separate MII Destination, and then started just this modified Agent Instance. In this configuration, the notification's DataChanged event and dispatched messages to each of the notification Destinations.

I would recommend that you log a support ticket to report this issue as a potential bug if you a required to use Multiple Agent Instances connected to a single Socket Source System.

Regards, Steve
