Perseverance lands on Mars, cloud-ready to explore

On Thursday, February 18, National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Mars Perseverance rover landed on Mars, after its 7-month, 300-million-mile journey from Earth. NASA is using the AWS services to speed up processing of rover data collections, greatly increasing the number of drive days on Mars and accelerating our exploration for past signs of ancient life.

UAE Mars mission uses AWS to advance scientific discoveries

The United Arab Emirates Hope Probe successfully entered Mars’ orbit on February 9, making history as the country’s first interplanetary mission.  UAE will use Amazon Web Services (AWS) advanced technologies to process and analyze the vast amounts of data and imagery the probe collects to help researchers better understand the Martian atmosphere and its layers.

Boom Supersonic goes all-in on AWS
