A large portion of my job deals with supporting Windows desktop applications along with working with Linux on backend and embedded platforms.
Using WSL allows me to pop into a project from the command line, edit a line or two with Vim, punch a commit in Git, and compile an executable in what feels like seconds. Yet it keeps the familiar environment and supports business applications I depend on.
