Issue #1: Project Updates, DBUI, and Interesting Open Source Repositories

👋🏼 Hi all! I hope you are all doing well.
I am starting this newsletter to give updates on my most recent progress. It will be weekly or two times a week, depending on the load.
Disclaimer: if you received this email, you subscribed to my mailing list via CoderVlogger.com or KananRahimov.com. Both are my projects, and I decided to merge all my mailing lists in one place. Since I was not sending emails very frequently recently, you might not be interested anymore. In this case, feel free to unsubscribe using links at the end of the email. I wish you all the best 🙏🏼
The first and big news is I started uploading new videos. Live streams, to be more specific.
So I had enough time to revise and review and understand what I like the most for myself.
This time everything about the code, everything around the code.
Coding, Learning, Sharing.
📆 Daily Code and Live Streams
My work on dbui inspired me to continue coding every day.
DBUI in Action.
DBUI in Action.
Additionally, I am trying to code and live stream whenever it is possible. I already hosted two live coding sessions. Both are about Golang.
New videos won’t be only about dbui. I primarily will focus on technical specifics rather than projects themselves. Here are some of the hosted or planned topics:
🧳 Updates My Projects
🗄 DBUI Updates
For the DBUI project, the last week wasn’t as productive as the week before. If the week before I was adding more features or more tests, I primarily focused on reviewing the codebase and manual testing this week.
However here are some of the PRs and features introduced in the DBUI:
  • Demo flag to run DBUI with dummy data.
  • SQLite database support. Thanks to Serdar Ormanli!
  • Improvements on Table Preview component: fixed headers and compact view mode.
Other Projects
Soon I will start publicly working on a few more consumer-oriented projects. At the moment. I am preparing myself mentally 🙄but also trying to plan it so that I will be able to sustain it consistently.
Additionally, I am researching various tech stacks and understanding what would be a better choice for my projects.
On top of my backend work, I am currently doing some internal projects using Flutter mobile and React for the web. For learning purposes, I am also checking some demo projects with Next.js. Hopefully, very soon, I will have more insights to share about these technologies. Stay tuned! 🤗
👀 Interesting Projects
For the last weeks, I was mainly talking about Infra as Code with colleagues. Here are some of the GitHub repos I follow on the topic:
