日产和丰田已开始运用基于虚拟现实（VR）技术的元宇宙（Metaverse）。日产利用美国初创企业 VRChat 的服务，在虚拟空间内设置了模仿银座实体店的展厅。展示了新款电动汽车Ariya，今后还将用于召开新车发布会和演讲等用途。丰田已开始在部分部门和子公司引入元宇宙技术。员工的虚拟形象可以在虚拟办公室内走动、开会、交谈。在丰田总部，技术开发和人事等部门已开始使用元宇宙技术，目前还考虑进一步扩大使用范围。此外，德国大众和梅赛德斯·奔驰集团等海外汽车厂商也在使用元宇宙技术。（日经中文网）
