2022年4月20日，Epic Games投资了3D CG生成技术的开发商和供应商M-XR。 这笔资金将用于扩大M-XR的团队和资源。

M-XR成立于2018年，所开发的技术是利用3D扫描将现实生活中的物体转化为3D资产。 该公司已经通过Epic Games的资助计划Epic MegaGrants获得了一笔资助，加强了与Epic Games的联系。

未来，M-XR将与Epic Games收购的Quixel公司合作，优化3D资产的大规模生成，让创作者能够自由地使用虚幻引擎进行创作。此前 Epic Games还推出了RealityScan的测试版，这是一个与旗下Capturing Reality和Quixel合作开发的3D扫描应用。
