Try Out Your Next Tattoo in Augmented Reality With the INKHUNTER App
Published 20 hours ago
Use this augmented reality app to find out how different tattoos will look in different places on your body.
Have you thought about getting a tattoo, but wanted to know what it would look like first? Many tattoo artists will do temporary tattoos or stencils so you can see how it would look before you get it for real. However, these stencils last hours at most, and for a lifelong decision like a tattoo, you might need more time.
Luckily, there is a solution, and that solution is the INKHUNTER app. While there are a lot of tattoo apps that allow you to try out different tattoos, the INKHUNTER app is different.
What Is the INKHUNTER App and How Is It Different?
INKHUNTER is one of the most popular tattoo apps in the App Store, and for good reason: its features set it apart from all other tattoo try-out apps, making the others obsolete.
INKHUNTER uses a feature called augmented reality, which can manipulate real images through the camera on your phone. You can use this to make images that aren’t there in real life appear on your phone screen. INKHUNTER takes this technology to make it possible to try out tattoos.
Using the app, you can upload a tattoo or use the included stencils, and add it to part of your body. Then, you can try it out in real-time. No matter where you move your arm, the virtual tattoo will stay put, just like a real tattoo.
You can try out the tattoo for as long or as often as you want. Once you decide this is the tattoo you want, you can take it to a tattoo artist. Then they can use the INKHUNTER stencil and ink it on your body.
How to Use the INKHUNTER App
The INKHUNTER app is easy to use. To get started, download the app and start exploring the available stencils. INKHUNTER has thousands of stencils available for download. If you don’t see something you like, you can find your own tattoo designs to import into the app.
Once you choose a stencil, you need to use a pen to draw a square smiley face on the desired location on your skin. The app will show you the exact shape to make and you just have to trace it. This will allow augmented reality to work by tracking the marks on your skin.
Once you do this, you will see the tattoo where you drew the smiley face in the app. As long as the mark is on your skin, you can try out the tattoo in real-time. You can also erase it and try it out on another body part if needed, and you can move it around until you find the right spot.
When you’re done, you can save your tattoo to your favorites and try it again later. You can save as many tattoos as you want. After you try it out enough and decide you want it for real, you just need to take your design to a tattoo artist.

Don’t Get a Tattoo Without Trying INKHUNTER First
Many tattoo artists let you try a tattoo using a temporary stencil before you get it inked to your body. However, a few minutes with a stencil isn’t long enough to decide if you want to keep something on your body for life.
While there are other tattoo apps, these apps just show you a picture of what that tattoo would look like, which isn’t that helpful.
Thankfully, with the INKHUNTER app, you can try it out for as long as you want in real-time. This will help you make an informed decision about your next tattoo and, hopefully, give you a better tattoo experience.
