Note: Greater Philadelphia is open for business and welcoming visitors. Safety guidelines regarding COVID-19 continue to evolve. Beginning on April 18, 2022, masking is required in all indoor public spaces in Philadelphia. Businesses may forgo the mask requirement and choose to check vaccination status instead. Guidelines vary in the surrounding region. Advance tickets or reservations remain recommended or necessary at many spots. Your best bet: Check online or call ahead.

Visitors come from far and wide for Philly Black Pride, an annual four-day Pride event that emphasizes the strength and resilience of Philly’s community of LGBTQ people of color.

A host of citywide events — including various nightlife activities — aim to focus on community building.

This year’s Philly Black Pride theme: Legally Black: Reemergence, with festivities and partner events taking place from April 28 to May 1, 2022.
