据 AppleInsider 报道，在试用该功能九个月后，YouTube 已禁用其 iOS 版 App 的实验性画中画模式。
YouTube 在 2021 年 8 月启用了 iOS 上的画中画功能，作为该 App 的“实验性”功能。到 2022 年 4 月，YouTube 似乎已决定不值得保留该功能。
目前，画中画实验性功能已从实验性选项中删除。App 中也没有启用或禁用该功能的选项，而网站称它已“被关闭”。一些之前启用该功能的用户仍然可以使用画中画，但不知未来是否仍可用。
IT之家了解到，画中画功能自 2021 年推出以来，仅适用于高级订阅用户。而 YouTube TV 电视端应用也从 3 月起开启了画中画功能，尚不清楚是否也会一同下线。
