云路由器的“插件”是一部分典型的功能应用，以“应用插件”的形式提供出来便于使用、更新和管理。如下图：
这些插件部分是路由器软件默认带有的，部分是可以从TP-LINK云服务器在线更新的。
在云路由器管理界面中登录TP-LINK ID后，如果有新的应用插件发布，云服务器将自动推送给路由器。在 应用管理 > 精选应用 中自动提示有新的应用插件，可在线更新或安装。但不能安装第三方（非TP-LINK）提供的应用插件。
