The SAP partner ecosystem plays a critical role in SAP’s commitment to its cloud strategy, especially when it comes to driving transformation services. SAP aims to foster a best-in-class ecosystem that delivers outstanding cloud implementations and drives impactful customer outcomes and innovation.

To achieve this, SAP is investing significantly to train and educate partner consultants and developers with the most relevant and up-to-date learning materials, so they can support customers and develop solutions and content on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). To date, over 50,000 partner members have been trained and enabled on SAP BTP, and as more partners develop on SAP technologies, we can work together, helping customers integrate their systems into end-to-end business processes – connecting and running their apps and data using a unified platform. Our partner ecosystem is a critical driver of that growth because it’s our partners, with their deep industry and line of business expertise, who can understand the business challenges and who are best equipped to answer each customer’s unique requirements.

Creating Customer Value and Partner Opportunities
SAP BTP opens new opportunities for partners, enabling them to create innovative extensions, integrations, content, and applications – enhancing customer outcomes through more personalized experiences and accelerated innovation.

IDC published the Partner Success Guide in January 2022 which highlighted many of the opportunities SAP partners are seeing as they engage with SAP BTP to solve customer challenges. As part of the study, partners communicated that SAP BTP helped them move beyond a one-and-done sales and implementation process, to a customer-for-life posture that included more focus on the customer’s ongoing business needs, and a better understanding of the impacts technology has on their business goals.

This approach with customers helped increase profitability and revenue – results that came from additional sales, service and development engagements that emerged after the initial implementation. Explore some examples below.

Delivering Business Transformation as a Service through RISE with SAP
RISE with SAP helps customers go through their respective digital transformations and become intelligent enterprises. But this can’t be done by SAP alone. Our partner ecosystem is at the center of the RISE with SAP strategy, and customers are encouraged to engage with our partners to get tailored implementation and administration support. A great example of technology providers helping customers reap the benefits of RISE with SAP, is our SAP Platinum Partner United VARs. Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG produces 4 million bottles of mineral water and mineral water-based soft drinks every day. Energy efficiency specialist and longtime SAP partner INTENSE AG created an Internet of Things (IoT) based solution IRES (Intelligent Resource Efficiency Solution) on SAP Business Technology Platform that allows Gerolsteiner to optimize the volume of mineral water it draws from its springs.

Hack2Build – Showcasing SAP Partner NIMBL
What a wonderful hacking journey! SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) North America invited more than 35 participants representing six partner teams to join a week-long Hack2Build event. In January 2022, SAP Partner Nimbl published its winning use case to convey its innovative technology. Their solution can either be a Hybrid or Cloud deployment based on SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform. The unified Fiori front-end experience is scalable to multiple SAP Accounts Payable processes. Workflow is initiated from incoming invoices routed to AP clerks for review, edit, approval and posting. Co-innovating with partners to build AI based solutions
This Hack2Build was conceived to engage with partners early-on, to bring life to their ideas based on applicability of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to business processes. What better ways than to expose, enable and experience SAP AI Core and SAP AI Launchpad with our partners so that they could get to experiment with the technology first-hand and bring forth their AI powered ideas to a working solution model. Participating SAP Partners were clustered around Line of Business solutions powered by SAP Artificial Intelligence and Industry solutions leveraging SAP Artificial Intelligence. We saw excellent scenarios demonstrated on how to apply AI in the context of Line of Business solutions and leveraging AI to address end-to-end Industry business process.
