3 月 21 日，美国证券交易委员会（SEC）推迟了 Wisdomtree 比特币信托上市和交易的决定，5 月 15 日前会就是否批准提案。2021 年 12 月 3 日，美国 SEC 拒绝 WisdomTree 的现货比特币 ETF 申请。美国 SEC 表示，该现货比特币 ETF 未履行《证券交易法》和委员会业务规则规定的义务，以证明其提案符合国家证券交易平台“旨在防止欺诈和操纵行为”以及“保护投资者和公共利益”的规则要求。
