Facebook is seeking a highly-analytical and quantitative, impact-oriented Business Planning and Operations Associate MBA Intern to join our London team. The role will serve as a core member of the team, and will focus on strategy and planning, business insights and operational excellence to enable the Sales leadership team to make effective, data-driven, strategic operating decisions in an effort to optimize sales performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and experience managing large data sets (primarily in Excel and SQL), the ability to synthesize and make recommendations based on imperfect data from multiple sources, strong business intuition to guide their analysis, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally supporting internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, view the world through an analytical lens, be interested in Tech / Advertising, be intellectually curious, learn quickly, and be able to move fast while keeping focused on high-impact projects.
Business Planning & Operations Intern (MBA) Responsibilities
Focus on strategy and planning, business insights and operational excellence to enable the Sales leadership team to make effective, data-driven, strategic operating decisions in an effort to optimize sales performance
Manage and analyze large data sets, providing recommendations to relevant stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and in the process of obtaining, an MBA degree
3+ years post-collegiate work experience in a quantitative field (e.g. finance, business analytics, consulting, banking, business operations)
Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights, develop actionable recommendations and tell stories based on data sets
Proven stakeholder management experience - including managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously
Interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience in presenting business and technical content to general audiences
Experience prioritizing business initiatives / investment cases
Experience working independently, managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a cross-functional environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
