比赛前一一周的日记

“Don’t you feel so much pressure? With so many people rooting for you and watching you?” 

“Don’t you feel scared you will let down a whole country? Or two?”No, I don’t. Of course I feel an immeasurable amount of pressure, but the source of it stems not from some vague and looming number of viewers on a screen, but from the person who invested priceless hours of her own life to plan, practice, and execute maneuvers she, or history, once would’ve deemed impossible.

The person who cried and bled and had her hopes shattered a million times and still willingly returned without ever considering quitting. The relentless person who built a purposeful sense of self and passionate work ethic from scratch, who learned about failure the hard way, who searched or gratitude in the most desolate of spaces. For the little girl who never in a millions years would believe the person she’s grow up to be.  For the quiet kid who was not intimated easily and spoken to in unspeakable ways, who through a sport found her voice and now uses it loudly and frequently to attract positive change. Who has begin to see that change manifest itself on an unimaginable scale, who is just getting started. 

"你不觉得压力太大了吗？有这么多的人支持你，关注你？" 

"你不觉得害怕你会让整个国家失望吗？或者两个？" 不，我没有。当然，我感到了不可估量的压力，但它的来源不是来自屏幕上一些模糊的观众人数，而是来自那个投入了自己生命中无价的时间来计划、练习和执行她或历史上曾经认为不可能的操作的人。

这个人哭过，流过血，希望破灭了一百万次，但仍然心甘情愿地回来，从未考虑过放弃。这个不屈不挠的人，从零开始建立了目标明确的自我意识和充满激情的职业道德，她以艰难的方式了解失败，在最荒凉的地方寻找或感激。为了那个千万年来都不会相信她长大后会成为什么样的人的小姑娘。为了那个不容易被亲近的安静的孩子 她曾被无法言喻地对待 又从一项运动中找到了自己的声音 如今有力而频繁地发声 追求积极的转变。她已经开始看到这种变化达到了一个难以想象的规模，她才刚刚开始。
