2020年全年电器类原因引发的火灾占比高居不下，全年达到8.5万起，占全年火灾总数33.6%，是火灾第一大原因。对此，格力电器董事长董明珠建议，加快淘汰市场中的超期服役家电，保护人民群众的生命和财产安全，有效实现节能降耗。
国家发改委在对该建议的回复中表示，下一步将加快淘汰超期服役家电，加强以旧换新推广力度，并对绿色家电产品进行专项补贴。
