Are There Legal Issues with Bringing Office Employees Back to the Office?

There May Be a Big Business Change and Culture Change Happening.

Just when I was wondering when the 1st lawsuit would happen about companies trying to force employees to stop working out of their home remotely for the past 1 – 2 years during the Covid pandemic and return to the office to work.

Atlanta, Georgia  USA, there is a  lawsuit from an employee fired/terminated because they wanted to continue to work remote out of their home,  saying that they have serious medical conditions that makes them susceptible to Covid and the company cannot guarantee health conditions at work and cannot force employees to be vaccinated and do a weekly Covid test to help create a healthier healthy office environment.

If employees at work and in the office get sick from Covid, employees that get Covid may suit the company for health conditions.

If this lawsuit is upheld in employees’ favor, then all other employees working remotely can insist on equal treatment and continue to work remotely from their homes.

Companies save a lot of money with employees working out of their homes since they do not need to support costly offices, employees save money with autogas and auto upkeep costs (oil, tires, brakes from mileage) from not needing to drive to and from work daily.

There is less air pollution from less traffic and fewer accidents from less traffic, but I have not seen auto insurance decline.

There may be a big business change and culture change happening.

This situation may take 1 – 2 years to figure all out and see any changes or transitions.

This is so interesting to be seeing all of this and living in such times.
