nWayPlay is a decentralized trading platform built on the FLOW chain.
nWayPlay, a NFT collectibles marketplace and subsidiary of HongKong based game company Animoca Brands, has recently announced on Twitter that it will drop a series of officially licensed Beijing Winter Olympics NFT digital pins on February 11. There will be 500 Epic boxes for sale, each for $99. Each box contains 1 Epic level and 2 Rare level digital pins.
The Epic boxes features will be available for purchase on nWay Marketplace, using credit card, USDC or nWay Credits. The digital pins will feature Bing Dwen Dwen, the mascot of Winter Olympics as well as a variety of winter games programs.
Like other major NFT trading platforms, nWayPlay is currently unavailable for purchase by users in China.
nWayPlay has previously released many Olympics themed NFTs, including digital poster, pictograms, and Tokyo 2020 themed NFT digital pins. The company has also acquired licensing from IOC(International Olympics Committee) and published a play-to-earn game on February 3.
The game, “Olympic Games Jam: Beijing 2022” allows players to participate in Olympics events virtually and compete with up to 20 players. According to nWayPlay, top finishers would be rewarded with “Gems” and trade Gems into NFT digital pins. After claiming the pins on nWay Marketplace, users can resell them, get nWay credits and even exchange for real money via DEX(decentralized exchange).
"nWay has a track record of creating high-quality multiplayer games, and making Olympic Games Jam: Beijing 2022 a play-to-earn title is going to let gamers and NFT collectors alike to not only engage with the Olympic Games, but also own a piece of Olympic history, "according to nWay’s CEO and co-founder Taehoon Kim.
“We intend to support the game with continuous updates in the months to come, to keep the players engaged, and the Olympic spirit ongoing,” said Kim.
Olympic Games Jam: Beijing 2022 is currently only available via Google Play. According to nWayPlay, a version will be coming to Apple’s App Store soon.
nWayPlay is a decentralized trading platform built on the FLOW chain and launched by blockchain game studio nWay. Animoca Brands, nWay's parent company, is the developer of games such as The Sandbox and the F1DeltaTime. FLOW tokens have surged to as high as $8.50 level from its previous $4.5 level prior to the Olympic Games.
