北京冬奥会即将正式开幕，国际奥委会主席托马斯·巴赫在媒体采访中表示，北京冬奥会是奥运史上第一届“云上奥运”，用科技书写了新历史。

他谈及奥组委与阿里云的合作，北京冬奥会将通过阿里云向全球转播，称赞“科技的潜力令人惊叹，在奥运会历史上，我们第一次真正挖掘了这种潜力”。

据介绍，北京冬奥会是百年奥运史上的第一个“云上奥运”，不仅将奥运最核心的赛事成绩、赛事转播、信息发布等信息系统迁移至阿里云上，而且采用由奥林匹克广播服务公司巴赫称赞北京冬奥会是史上第一次云上奥运。
