Here are the notes from the Caijian (蔡剑) jazz guitar school in 2nd grade. P7 means the no.7 page in the textbook, and 1h30m means the 01:30:00 time of the video course.

Lesson 1 - Harmony of Black Orpheus

• What to play after tritone substitution, based on the original chord or the new one? (3m)
  • For V7 chords, nothing changed.
  • For IIm chords, like Ab13 substitutes for Dm7，you can play Ab lydian dominant scale
• Black Opheus harmony (P7)
  • 3 comping approaches for 2-5-1 in first 3 bars (10m)
    • Bypass 2 and just play 5
    • Play tritone substitution
    • G#dim7 (b13/add maj7), G#dim b13 (add maj7) substitute for E7
      • Diminished 7 chords of 3、5、b7、b9 notes of dominant 7 chord can replace itself (dom7)
  • Major 2-5-1 comping in 9th to 11st bars (45m): Dm9/A | Abdim7b13 Addim7 | Cmaj7/G F#7b5 | Fmaj7
  • Minor 2-5-1 comping in 13rd to 15th bars (56m): Bm11b5 | Bb7b5 | Am7 | E7alt Bb13
  • Demo (1h2m) for line 3 to 4 and Autumn Leaves
  • Using Fmaj7/C for D-7/C in line 7 (1h9m)
  • Am7 alternatives (1h13m)
    • AmM7, AmM9
    • Amb6, Am6: root note goes with 5, b6, 6, 7 (asc) or 9, 1, 7, b7 (desc)
• Bossa nova basic rhythms (P9, 1h30m)
  • Polyrhythms like 3/4 time (2h5m)
