财经网科技2月2日讯，据新浪科技报道，对一位加州男子来说，佩戴Apple Watch绝对是明智的决策，因为这帮助他在受到致命伤之后得以即时拨打急救电话。
洛杉矶赫莫萨比奇警方证实通过这项功能在半夜赶到了事故现场。根据当地警方披露的信息，他们当时正是根据Apple Watch发出的911呼叫电话找到了受伤男子。
当这款手表检测到佩戴者突然坠落时，就会开始60秒倒计时。如果佩戴者身体无恙，可以手动停止倒计时，避免误拨急救电话。但如果确实受伤，Apple Watch就会自动拨打911，通知紧急救援人员。这套自动化系统还会分享坠落发生地的坐标，以便快速定位。
