OnePlus 8T joins the 8 and 8 Pro with a December update of its own

With fixes and patches galore

Nobody likes ending the year with unfinished work hanging over them, and we're seeing plenty of evidence for that when it comes to companies getting updates for their Android phones out the door. Earlier this week we spotted the latest December update landing for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, and now that same release is starting to hit the OnePlus 8T.

While we are looking at some fresh patches and bugfixes here, they're both a bit limited in number and pretty low-key. There's a WhatsApp fix among them, but we're unsure if this is to address the same issue we just saw patched on the 7 and 7T series. OnePlus also tries to fix some misaligned options in the Settings UI, but from what people have shared in the company's support forums, things still seem to be showing up glitchy for a number of frustrated users.

In addition to those and some other targeted fixes, OnePlus also bumps all three phones up to their December 2021 security patch level. For the 8 and 8 Pro, that puts them on Oxygen OS 11.0.10.10, while the 8T is at 11.0.12.12 (NA & EU) and 11.0.11.11 (IN). Distribution got underway a few days back for the first two, and yesterday for the 8T — in typical OnePlus fashion the company will start ramping up availability as the week plays out.
