史上第一条短信“圣诞快乐”以“不可替代的代币(NFT)”的形式，在巴黎拍卖行以 107,000 欧元（121,000美元）的价格售出。该短信于 1992 年 12 月 3 日发送，由英国电信公司 Vodafone 送拍。Vodafone 工程师 Neil 从他的电脑上将这条短信发送给英国的一位经理，后者通过他 2 公斤重的“Orbitel”手机接收。Orbitel 类似于座机，但是没有连线，并有一个手柄。
