Twitter Further Bolsters V2 API via New API Tools

Dec 13, 2021
By Kevin Sundstrom, ProgrammableWeb Staff

Earlier this year, Twitter updated its developer policy in an effort to better utilize the company’s V2 API. Twitter has now announced a collection of new API tools that hope to further bolster application Integration on the Platform.

These new tools include an API explorer, a query builder, and a new query migration tool. The API explorer is a useful feature that will allow developers to better understand the capabilities of different Twitter V2 API endpoints.

The blog post announcing these new tools overviewed the new query builder by stating that:

“The Query Builder tool is used to create a set of filters for the search Tweets and filtered stream rule endpoints. Like the API Explorer, there is an interactive User Interface to visually create a new query or paste in an existing one. This can be helpful to troubleshoot and get more relevant Tweets for a project.”

Lastly, the query migration tool allows API V 1.1 queries to easily be converted into V2 queries. For more information on these new tools, make sure to check out the original blog post.
