I was using PE 11 on my 7t, internal storage is on f2fs. Twrp was unable to format data properly. Decryption was working. Hope next version will fix the issue.@freemannhp Did you get a TWRP to work for you? What I found, is that it depends on what version of Android the ROM you are using is based off of, and also the ROM itself. What are you using? If you are using OOS, none of them will work on Data decryption. They only work on custom ROMs. I have backed up flashed and successfully restored my entire data partition including the media folder on Resurrection Remix from and now on MSM Xtended XR 6.0

Backing up data (excluding storage) doesn't work and throws errors. I read the same issue for other twrp versions, is there any workaround or fix that you know of?

Backup Failed. Cleaning Backup folder.
When I deselect data it backs up just fine.
I thought it might be due to backing up data to data (even though it excludes things like pictures and downloads) but when I use OTG it throws the same message.

I got same error when tried to backup data, even data was not encrypted with pin code.
question. with the recovery.do you have to first fill both slots before booting up the twrp and installing the twrp installer. then to format the data in twrp before beginning the process of installing roms and that sort of stuff.
also since twrp 3.6 has been also released would not be wise to update twrp to twrp 3.6.
