Mozilla 向所有 Firefox 用户推送它的 Global Privacy Control (GPC)实现，如果启用的话浏览器将会通知网站不要出售或共享你的个人数据。但对绝大部分用户而言该功能可能没什么效果，网站通常会置之不理，无视你的通知。加州消费者保护法和欧洲的 GDPR 以及科罗拉多州的隐私保护法要求实施 GPC，但其它地方没有此类法律。
