Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 14.1

On November 22, 2021, we released Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 14.1. Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL is based on PostgreSQL 14.1 and installs PostgreSQL, and complements it by a selection of extensions that enable solving essential practical tasks efficiently. Release highlights include expired B-tree index entries can now be detected and removed between vacuum runs, support for subscripts in JSON, the libpq library now supports the pipeline mode, and LZ4 compression is added for TOAST operations.

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 14.1 Update

On December 2, 2021, we released an update for Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 14.1. This update fixes the inability of a user to upgrade the postgresql-common package during the major upgrade to version 14.1 on DEB-based systems.

November 23, 2021, saw the release of Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.5. This release of Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL is based on PostgreSQL 13.5.

On December 2, 2021, an updated Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.5 was released. This update of Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL fixes the inability of a user to upgrade the postgresql-common package during the major upgrade to version 13.5 on DEB-based systems.

Percona Distribution for MySQL Operator 1.10.0 Preview Release was released on November 24, 2021. It automates the creation, alteration, or deletion of members in your Percona Distribution for MySQL environment. It can be used to instantiate a new environment or to scale an existing environment. The Operator contains all necessary Kubernetes settings to provide a proper and consistent Percona XtraDB Cluster instance. Release highlights include Custom sidecar containers,  a replicasServiceEnabled option was added to allow disabling the Kubernetes Service for haproxy-replicas, and fixes for bugs reported by the community.
