Thanks, @thisiskp_!
Good morning, PH. We're so proud to share Glide Pages with you today.
When we launched Glide 1.0 nearly three years ago, nobody was even talking about "no-code" yet, and savvy reviewers of our pre-release prototypes were skeptical that people who weren't already developers would want to create apps. We weren't so sure either, to be honest!
The response to that first release of Glide floored us–so many more people than we ever expected wanted to make their own software. As Jack mentioned in the video, hundreds of thousands of people have created millions of Glide Apps since then, and we think Glide Pages is going to be even bigger.
No-code is a crowded space now, with many new, exciting tools emerging all of the time. We've made some unique decisions about how Glide Pages works, and how Glide works in general–you edit a real working version of your app, data updates & recomputes in real time, our data editor is extremely powerful without code or formulas, and we handle much of the design for you–that we believe set Glide Pages apart from the rest, and lay a foundation for something even greater in the future.
We hope you'll give Pages a try and let us know what you think. We have so much more planned in the coming months! Thank you.
At lowcode.agency, we're absolutely in love with Glide 1.0 and the capabilities it has to build powerful apps for SMEs at a fraction of the time of traditional development, and even way faster than other no and low code platforms. A very usual ask from our clients was the capability to build desktop first webapps.
We're really excited for this launch and keep helping founders and SMEs with their custom software needs. Congrats on the launch @dvdsgl and team!
Annndddd breathe 😌 Glide has just created the bridge between great mobile app building and feature rich web app building allowing both mobile AND web apps to feed off and into the same data store.
This is huge in and of itself but the big thing for me, as I teach adults and kids alike how to NoCode, is to show them how you can start small, with a great UI and UX in Glide, and build up from there without having to jump to another more powerful/flexible platform which can cause confusion.
Glide has always been on many people's list when it comes to learning NoCode tools but now with Glide Pages it should be on everyone's list. I can't wait to give it a go, learn it, and teach it. Thanks David & Co.
