Is there a Beta channel available in play store?
No, we here are the Beta channel

Once a Beta is released + tested here it shouldn't be much longer until it goes to the Playstore as an update to the stable Silver version.

I want to move away completely from ES File Explorer, and this app is very cool and promising. Can you add a feature to analyze storage? it is a handy feature when you run out of storage, especially the large files analyzer.

Also, if you can add the feature to freeze or lock an apk. Instead of uninstalling, I can just freeze it.

Regarding a storage analyzer, your question has encouraged the long overdue creation of a FAQ post for that. FAQ Nugget Storage Analyzer: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mixplorer-q-a-and-faq-user-manual.3308582/post-85942125. It may not be exactly what you want but it is what exists at present.

Been using MiXplorer silver for a few years now on my Note 8 and rarely have ever had any issues. I got my new Pixel 6 Pro last week and one of the first apps I installed was MixPlorer. It works fine on the new phone, EXCEPT when I plug in my USB thumb drive (Patriot Supersonic Rage Elite 256GB formatted fat32) to the new phone. MiX locks up and then Android 12 says MiX isn't responding and asks to close the app. If I choose wait, then I can sort of access the thumb drive but MiX freezes repeatedly. So it's basically totally unusable ATM.

This same thumb drive is accessible without any issues whatsoever on my Note 8 running Android 8.0 and I can transfer files back and forth like I should be able to.

I'll add that when I first attached the thumb drive to my Pixel, MiX never saw it and I had to manually add it. Never had that issue on my Note 8. First time I plugged it into the Note 8, MiX recognized it immediately and it showed up.

Not sure what is going on or what I need to do to make MiX work but I can't stand the built in file manager which is why I always have used a 3rd party one for the last 15 years, was ES Pro until their downfall.

Locking apps or freezing is not controlled by another app, its done by the system. But you can backup an APK.
