对 Alexa 排名前 500 网站的检查显示，支持 IPv6 的网站占 25%。而中国主要网站基本不支持 IPv6，如天猫、百度、搜狐、淘宝、京东、奇虎360、微博、新浪、新华网等等。全世界的 IPv6 普及度正在逐渐增长，根据 Google IPv6 的统计显示，IPv6 的普及度已经达到了 35%。中国的 IPv6 的普及度仍然较低。
