Any ready-made internal user messaging solution ? (not real-time 😑)

Hello there !
I made a listings website where users can send messages to each others but in very limited way.

Simply, I want that very ancient one to one messaging based on logged users (not bound to any SMTP servers or APIs, even If I use users oAuth and I have emails).

Whatever keywords I search with, I find sockets and real-time messaging everywhere. No one mentions internal and private users messaging nowhere. Unbelievable 😑.

You could suggest any real-time many-to-many solution and assume theoretically we can limit messaging to one-to-one, private, but no,
I even don't want that real-time feeling.

The only scenario possible: A user is interested in one listing, he/she sends a message to the author of the thread, then they can chat about that in a small time window (2 days or something). This is important as I don't want my site to be a chatting platform.

So to sum up, I'm looking for an open-source NodeJS solution even some part of a NodeJS project that I can pick. Ready made to not reinvent the wheel, and because I'm tired of this project ;(

Many thanks !!!! and no open source solutions like Slack 😑😑 you now know why πŸ˜‚

You can snitch on my profile on a French website and what I'm selling πŸ˜‚
