沙特计划到 2060 年实现零排放

沙特王储 Mohammed bin Salman 表示计划到 2060 年实现温室气体“净零排放”，比美国晚 10年。温室气体主要由化石燃料燃烧产生。他还说，沙特将把计划在 2030 年前实现的减排量增加一倍。全球第二大排放国美国承诺到2050年实现“净零”，即其排放的温室气体不超过其能够捕获或吸收的数量。但是，全球最大排放国中国和第三大排放国印度还没有对这个时间表做出承诺。沙特阿美总裁兼首席执行官纳瑟尔(Amin Nasser)说，将碳氢化合物“妖魔化”会适得其反。
