Learn how to Increase User Productivity Through Central Access to Applications and Processes at SAP TechEd 2021

Once again in 2021 SAP TechEd is a virtual event (November 16-18). The schedule includes lectures, hands-on workshops, and a new, engaging format called Channel 1. The event starts with Juergen Mueller’s executive keynote on November 16 and offers 8 tech tracks and over 25 workshops and 100 skill-building sessions for you to explore your favorite topics.

Let me give you some session recommendations for those of you who want to know in which direction SAP goes concerning the portfolio of digital user experience services based on SAP Business Technology Platform. This is also interesting for SAP Portal customers (on-premise and cloud) who would like to know where the journey is going to.

I would like to recommend you to register to the session DEV202Boost Productivity Through Central Access to Applications and Processes“.

Why should you register for this session?

A simple unified and harmonized access to the intelligent enterprise is key to ensure satisfaction for end-users. We use the SAP Business Technology Platform to build this central access to all the applications that the end user need to access. Our mission is to increase user productivity and efficiency by providing digital experience services that support the implementation of a central and intuitive access to applications, processes and information.

In his SAP TechEd session DEV202 SAP Product Manager Aviad Rivlin focuses on the two digital experience services on SAP BTP – SAP Launchpad service and SAP Work Zone – which support the implementation of a central and intuitive access to applications, processes, and information. SAP Launchpad service is about aggregating and integrating multiple applications under a single point of access. SAP Work Zone includes the capability from SAP Launchpad service (centralizing access to relevant business applications, processes and information), but also offers additional capabilities to build modern intranets with content pages, widgets and UI integration cards. The session gives you also insights into the future roadmap for Launchpad service and SAP Work Zone.

Shaun Syvertsen, CEO from Convergent IS, joins Aviad in the session and takes you through a customer story talking about their implementations of SAP Launchpad service and SAP Work Zone.

You can also get familiar with SAP Launchpad service and SAP Work Zone by:

Another session I would like to recommend in order to implement an engaging user experience is about how to build a freestyle application in the cloud using SAPUI5 (DEV160): Learn in this hands-on workshop how to build an application quickly and efficiently with SAP Business Application Studio and the evolved UI5 tooling process. Understand how to develop your application according to the latest technology guidelines.

Low-Code/No-Code Application Development and Digital Experience Services

This year at SAP TechEd you will hear a lot about low-code/no-code application development. SAP Work Zone and SAP Launchpad service also help the end user to consume low-code/no-code apps. It does not matter if an application is SAP delivered, was developed on a pro-code platform, or if it is a low-code/no-code application. Every app can be consumed and exposed to the end-user via the SAP Launchpad or via the SAP Work Zone service.

Do not miss the Low Code, No Code application development sessions at SAP TechEd 2021, they are all presented in this blog: SAP TechEd 2021: What to expect on Low-Code/ No-Code Application Development | SAP Blogs

Additional Recommended Sessions

As always there are sessions that discuss our innovations in user experience (UX) solutions, for more information see this blog post.

I would also like to recommend the sessions covering all aspects of process automation including updates from SAP Intelligent RPA and SAP Workflow Management.
