Are Bank of America debit cards insured?

If your Bank of America debit card is stolen and has fraudulent charges on it, then you may be concerned as to whether or not you will ever get that money back. But, don’t worry – your Bank of America debit card is actually insured, and you should get your money back as long as you had nothing to do with the fraud. You will have to talk to their claims and fraud department, but they will give you a temporary credit until they have done all of their necessary research. You can read more about my own experience with having fraud on my Bank of America debit card here: Should you use your debit card when traveling?

My card was never physically stolen, but at one of the ATM’s in London there must have been a card reader which read the digits and also recorded the PIN number that I entered as well.
