What does “in a row” mean?

The phrase “in a row”, is used to describe events or things that happen right after each other – basically it’s another way of saying things are sequential.

Here’s an example of it’s usage:

“In a row” In a Sentence




“Yesterday I smoked 5 cigarettes in a row.  I felt like throwing up afterwards.”
