Does Yahoo use Bing?
On July 29, 2009, Microsoft and Yahoo announced a 10 year deal in which Microsoft Bing would power Yahoo’s Search engine. This deal means that Bing technology will be used for Yahoo’s searches. In return for the deal, Yahoo will keep 88% of the revenue from all search ad sales on its site for the first five years of the deal, and Yahoo will also be given the right to sell advertisements on some of Microsoft’s sites.
Is Yahoo currently using Bing?
Although the deal between Microsoft and Yahoo! was signed in 2009, all Yahoo! Search global customers and partners are expected to be transitioned to Bing by early 2012.
