Does Yahoo use Google?
Currently, Yahoo does not use Google to handle it’s search queries. However, Yahoo did use Google’s search engine to provide it’s search results in the early 2000’s, but their relationship was terminated in 2003 as they both then became major competitors to one another.
Who provides Yahoo’s search results?
Yahoo has signed an agreement with Microsoft in 2009 so that Microsoft’s search engine – known as Bing – will provide Yahoo’s search results behind the scene. This means that although you may do a search for something in Yahoo, the technology that’s providing you with the search results will be Microsoft’s Bing. All of Yahoo! Search global customers and partners are expected to be transitioned to Bing by early 2012.
