Rockstar 宣布了《Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition》，旧版《Grand Theft Auto 3》、《Vice City》和《San Andreas》将在 10 月 11 日从所有数字商店下架。旧版本目前可以在 Steam 上购买，但 Rockstar 还没有确认新版是否登陆 Steam，它只是声明新版将登陆“PlayStation 5、PlayStation 4、Xbox Series X|S、Xbox One、Nintendo Switch 和 Rockstar Games Launcher on PC”， iOS 和 Android 版本将在明年上半年发布。Rockstar 还没有披露新版的更多细节，只是表示改进了图形和加强了游戏玩法但维持了原版的感观。Rockstar 母公司 Take-Two Interactive 最近向 在《Grand Theft Auto V》中重新创造《Vice City》的 MOD 发出了 DMCA 删除通知。
