微软于 10 月 5 日正式发布一系列 Windows 11 硬件产品，但操作系统本身则提前开始提供给新西兰等地区的合格设备。微软表示，现有的 Windows 10 设备如果符合资格今天就可以升级到 Windows 11，它预计到 2022 年年中向所有合格的 Windows 设备推送 Windows 11。Windows 11 提高了硬件需求：处理器必须是 Intel 八代 Coffee Lake 或 AMD Zen 2 CPU 以上；支持 TPM 2.0，内存 4GB 以上，硬盘空间 64GB。合格的用户可以检查更新是否可下载 Windows 11。
