India reports 22,842 fresh Covid cases, 25,930 recoveries in the last 24 hours

India on Sunday reported a total of 22,842 fresh Covid cases, while recovery in the last 24 hours went up to 25,930 across the country.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,65,734 Covid tests being conducted taking the total count so far to over 57.32 cr tests.

With the administration of 73,76,846 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 90 cr as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. on Sunday.

InMobi unicorn unit Glance goes ‘Live’ to lure more users on its lock screen

Glance Live “Is a very authentic, real and engaging content format for Gen Z to begin with,” Piyush Shah, Co-Founder of InMobi Group, and Glance President and COO, asserted in an interview on Sunday.

All Live interactions will take place on the Glance lock screens or the so-called ‘screen-zero platforms’ that now come pre-installed on new Android smartphones in India such as brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo and OPPO. Glance achieved the milestone of 150 million active users in India in the second quarter of 2021, according to Counterpoint Research’s Quarterly Mobile Application Tracker released on 21 September.

“One in every four Indian smartphone users is now active on the Glance platform, which offers an interactive lock screen experience to Android smartphone users,” the research note said.

Jeff Bezos invests in Indonesian e-commerce startup Ula

The Jakarta-headquartered firm – which counts B Capital Group, Sequoia Capital India, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Quona Capital among its existing investors – is in advanced stages of talks to finalize a new round of over $80 million.

Jeff Bezos has agreed to invest in Ula through his family office, Bezos Expeditions, people said, requesting anonymity as the matter is private.

Ula helps small retailers solve inefficiencies that they face in supply chain, inventory and working capital.
