美国联邦通信委员会(FCC)周一表示，将启动一项 19 亿美元的计划，向大部分美国农村电信运营商提供补偿，以帮助他们拆除华为和中兴等被视为国家安全威胁的中国公司生产的网络设备。该项目于今年 7 月确定，将于 10 月 29 日开始接受申请，截止到 2022 年 1 月 14 日。去年，FCC 认定华为和中兴对通信网络构成国家安全威胁，禁止美国公司动用 83 亿美元的政府资金从这两家公司购买设备。去年 12 月，FCC 通过了一项规定，要求采用中兴或华为设备的运营商“拆除并更换”这些设备。
