9月17日，国家广播电视总局办公厅发布《关于停止利用广播电视和网络视听节目宣传推销槟榔及其制品的通知》。
广电总局决定，自即日起，停止利用广播电视和网络视听节目宣传推销槟榔及其制品。
各广播电视和网络视听机构要高度重视，增强“四个意识”、坚定“四个自信”、做到“两个维护”，严格落实意识形态工作责任制和广告宣传也要讲导向的要求，抓紧组织进行核查清理，确保上述要求落到实处，维护人民群众利益，营造良好传播环境。
