The PC standalone version will be available for £16/€16

Just like the previous two Assassin’s Creed games, Valhalla is getting a Discovery Tour, which will be available for free only for those who own the game. Dubbed Discovery Tour: Viking Age, the new expansion is an educational experience allowing players to explore and interact with the history and culture of the Viking Age world.

The PC standalone version of Discover Tour: Viking Age will release on October 19 and will be free for all owners of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the same platforms as the main game. Those who do not own the game will be able to purchase Discovery Tour: Viking Age via Ubisoft Connect and on the Epic Games Store for £15.99.

Also, for the very first time in the Discovery Tour franchise, Discovery Tour: Viking Age will also release as a standalone on Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X in early 2022.

Following two other similar piece of content –Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt and Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece, this brand-new chapter of the Assassin’s Creed educational expansion will shed light on the Viking era and allow players to discover more about the history and traditions of the time.

Discovery Tour: Viking Age has been designed in close collaboration with historians and archaeologists and promises to offer an interactive learning experience and an engaging deep dive into the Viking Age in ninth-century Norway and England. Players will be able to step into the shoes of Viking and Anglo-Saxon characters from the time while living out their stories and adventures and interacting with the world around them.

The Discovery Tour Team worked with a wide variety of partners, from experts to historians and this time they inked partnerships with several museum partners, including Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT), the British Library, the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, York Archaeological Trust, the National Museum of Denmark, Nationalmuseet, and Preston Park Museum & Grounds.
