Facebook 公布新压缩技术 Superpack

Facebook 透露了被称为 Superpack 的新压缩技术。通常情况下，随着开发者加入越来越多的代码，应用程序的体积会越来越大，最终体积会大到不可接受。压缩是最小化应用程序体积的方法之一。但仅仅靠压缩也无法遏制一个功能日益膨胀的应用体积，因此 Facebook 开发了 Superpack，结合了编译器分析和数据压缩，发现传统压缩工具之外的体积优化方法。Facebook 称，相比 Android APK 默认的 Zip 压缩方法，Superpack 能将 Android 应用的体积缩小 20% 以上。它旗下的应用 Facebook、Instagram、WhatsApp 和 Messenger 已开始使用 Superpack。目前 Superpack 仅支持 Android 平台，它正着手支持 iOS 平台，并计划将其开源，让每一个人都能受益。
