Just purchased the new 4K. I will be moving my old 4K one upstairs. I have been trying for hours to get the public beta on the new one but the beta option is not showing up in the update settings.

I have tried logging out of ICloud and back in but still not showing. I have also tried a reset.

Can anyone help?

Daft question, have you re-installed the beat profile. That isn’t transferred by default.

Thanks for the reply. The public beta doesn’t need the profile installing on the Apple TV does it? I thought as long as you were logged in with the same Apple ID the beta option should be there?

Yep! It’s installed Ona device by device basis. If you reset the device or set it up, you have to re install. Pain in the hoop that I only noticed when my watch wouldn’t update to the latest beta after a reset!

Hope that helps?

Thanks. How do you install the profile on the tv? Can’t see that option the internet for the public beta.

Hmmm. I’m using the developer beta, so I’m not sure. I presumed it was the same as other devices.

The only other thing I’ve found is to sign out of iCloud on the ATV, you say you’ve done that though. emoji848.png

Have you signed in using the same Apple ID as your TVOs?

Then clicked on get public beta updates and it should then entail your device?

I’m lost then buddy, it ‘should work’. The last thing I can think of is to reset and start again, following step by step.

Same problem here. Apple TV had the option before wanted to wait to install tvOS 15 now it’s not there won’t appear at all. Tried signing out of iCloud signing back in restating the device and resetting it and still nothing. This apple is all on the betas so I don’t understand.
The option was there before but now it’s not and will not give me the option. Every other Apple TV we own has the option and works correctly only this one is broken.

I am beyond frustrated because I’ve found tvOS 15 to be more reliable and wanted to upgrade my last Apple TV ( we have 3 they’re our cable boxes w/our cable service). If you find a solution let me know please and if I find one I will also give an update.

Same here. If this will help in anyway, I am already in Beta and cannot unenroll as the "Get Beta Update" is missing altogether. Signing out and signing back in to iCloud did no good. Seems to be an Apple problem that needs to be fixed as it is wide spread.

Could it be something to do with the new develop beta released yesterday. Perhaps there was something serious in the previous betas so apple don’t want any further units installing the public beta until developers have had a few days to test the new one and then release it to public testers?

The absence of the new 15 public beta update -- could be due to the pending release of 15-actual next week. Earlier this summer I found that one could not sign up for the 14.7 public beta from the 14.6 release version for about two weeks prior to 14.7's public release.
