加州计划通过一项新法案，反对据称在亚马逊物流中心使用的生产力测量算法。这项法案于今年 5 月由加州众议院通过，预计将于下周由参议院进行投票。如果最终通过，此项法案将对自动定额分配系统提出新的透明度要求，并阻止任何组织后续部署一切可能危及工人健康和安全的类似系统。圣迭戈民主党议员 Lorena Gonzalez 在 7 月提交此法案时还引用了 The Verge 网站发布的一份报告，发现“数百名”亚马逊仓库员工因未能达到巴尔的摩一物流中心的生产力指标而遭解雇。相关文件显示，亚马逊在使用一套高度自动化系统、能跟踪单一员工的实际生产效率。
